Clear float glass is made of molten glass which flows through tweel to tin bath and then to lehr. While floating through the molten tin, the glass under the works of gravity and surface tension becomes smooth and flat at both sides.
Clear float glass is transparent and offers a high visible light transmittance. These products are sourced from good quality float glass producers. Clear float is sold as cut-to-size or bulk form. Clear float is also available in laminated and toughened form.

We offer tinted glass which Usually given a bronze or grey cast, tinted glass dramatically cuts glare and heat from the sun (solar gain) yet only slightly reduces the amount of light admitted into your home. Where sun-caused fading or damage may be a serious problem, such as at unprotected south-facing windows, you may want to opt for glass with a solar bronze or solar grey tint to reject UV rays.

In the production of flat glass, the molten silica-based mix is cooled slowly under carefully controlled conditions. This annealing procedure removes undesirable stresses from the glass. Cooling occurs in an annealing "lehr"; and then annealed glass is heated to a temperature near its softening point and forced to cool rapidly under carefully controlled conditions. The heat treating process produces highly desirable conditions of induced stress, which result in additional strength, resistance to thermal stress, and impact resistance.
